At City of Sheffield we care about our athletes and this is reflected in our being awarded Clubmark by England Athletics.The club caters for athletes of all ages, ethnicity and abilities to enhance their potential.
By providing coaching from qualified coaches we nurture and develop the individual's abilities in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The club trains in state of the art facilities at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium and the English Institute of Sport.  If you are interested in athletics, whatever your level of ability, then you are invited to come along and join us.

National Young Athletes League Match 2
Our Young Athletes League team continued their winning start to the season at Ashton under Lyne on Sunday with a win against teams from East Cheshire and Rotherham. The winning margin is thanks to the tremendous efforts of our athletes and their willingness to fill in at events that they are not used to. The team now sit in third place in the Northern Premier East League.

Rother Valley 10K Results
Revised results are now available HERE.
The mens race was won for the second year running by Martin Formstone of Cleethorpes AC in 32.35  2nd was Kevin Farrow Notts AC in 32.49 and Ryan Holroyd (20) Staffs Moorlands AC 33.25.
The womens race was won by Sharron Orridge, Long Eaton AC 37.58 followed by Sue Street, Tipton Harriers 38.34 and Caroline Wheelhouse, Doncaster AC 42.32.
Congratulations to Howard Wood and James gray who were 2nd and 3rd placed U20 men respecyively. Also to Glenn Hardy who was the 6th placed in the M40 runners.

Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire County Championships 2010

It was both the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Track & Field Championships at the weekend and a number of our athletes were in action.

Derbyshire
Sarah Lee-Liggett won 4 medals in the championships, winning the U13 girls 70m hurdles, long jump and high jump, and coming third in the shot putt.
Josiah Fillieul won the U15 boys long jump and triple jump, and took silver in the 200m. Vicky Price won the U15 girls pole vault and brother Chris was third in the U17 mens long jump. Jill Lee-Liggett was third in the U17 womens shot putt, while Daniel Brunt won the senior mens shot putt and was second in the discus.

Nottinghamshire
Thomas Peters set a new championship record in winning the U15 boys javelin with a throw of 57.96m. Tesni Ward won the junior womens shot putt as well as the senior womens discus and javelin.
