At City of Sheffield we care about our athletes and this is reflected in our being awarded Clubmark by England Athletics.The club caters for athletes of all ages, ethnicity and abilities to enhance their potential.
By providing coaching from qualified coaches we nurture and develop the individual's abilities in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The club trains in state of the art facilities at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium and the English Institute of Sport.  If you are interested in athletics, whatever your level of ability, then you are invited to come along and join us.

Northern U17 and U15 Championships

At the championships in Leigh this weekend in the under 15 age group Joe Lancaster had an impressive win in the 400 metrers (52.77) and narrowly missed a double when he was beaten into second place in the 800m (2:06.54). Adam Khan was 3rd in the U17 men triple jump in 13.33m. In the U17 Women's age group Kelly Clark was 2nd in the 80 metre hurdles in 11.78, and in the U15 Girls pole vault Vicky Price was 2nd with a vault of 2.45m.

 
Inter Counties Track and Field Championships at Bedford.
Some of our athletes were in action for Yorkshire at the Inter Counties Track and Field Championships at Bedford this weekend.

Luke Cutts cleared 5.45m to win the pole vault in a new championship record, a fine effort in very windy conditions. Jamie Williamson had a disappointing discus competition but did well in the shot, finishing fourth with 17.35m. Yorkshire champion Matthew Quine was fourth in the 400 metres in 49.84 and Sam Ellis won the men's 800m final in 1:52:86.

Tesni Ward, competing for Nottinghamshire, set a new PB and club record in finishing 3rd in the women's javelin with a throw of 48.49m.

 
National Junior League Match 2
The National Junior League team were is action at Woodburn Road on Sunday and finished 5th in their match. Result.
