The short sprint distances include performances recorded without electronic time equipment which is therefore not legally valid to be considered for national and international records. We include club rankings without electronic time recording since only in a limited number of regional and national leagues and competitions have the electronic time recording equipment.

Wind assisted (+ 2 m/s) performances are not included in the rankings since they are not approved results. Performances from schools events below county level are also not included

Veterans are classified as seniors in the rankings.

Implements and distances are significantly different for the age groups U11-17.

Please note that javelin performances before 1986 used a different javelin standard.

For historical performances where it has only been possible to obtain a year for the result, the default date and month is set to January 1.
