World Master
Congratulations to Alex Kruger who won the gold medal in the M45 decathlon at the World Masters Championships in Lahti, Finland yesterday.
As he had done when winning the gold in the M40 group in 2007, Alex excelled in the throwing and jumping events. He won in the shot, long jump, high jump, javelin and discus, and came second in the 110metre hurdles and pole vault. After all ten events Alex finished with a total of 7,111 points, 261 points ahead of Lutz Naschke (Germany) in second and Masahiro Ikeno (Japan) in third place.
