Jessica Ennis was in great form as she won two titles at the UK Championships and World Trials in Birmingham at the weekend. In the high jump she cleared 1.91 metres before failing at 1.94 and, significantly, was nine centimetres ahead of Kelly Sotherton, who finished third. She then went on to win the 100 metres hurdles title with ease in a fast time of 12.87.
Luke Cutts who competes for our British League team won the pole vault title clearing 5.55 metres.
Lee Emanuel was runner-up in the 1500 metres (3:41.82), beaten only by a strong finish from Jermaine Mays (Kent).Sam Ellis was fourth in the 800 metres. His time was 1:48.35, his season's best.
Lee Doran was third in the javelin (69.33), and Jamie Williamson was fourth in the shot (16.94m) and eighth in the discus with a personal best of 52.72m
