Weekend News

It was a busy weekend for our athletes over the weekend of 6 and 7 June. Our mens British Athletics League team made a good start to the Premier League season on their return. The Northern League team had a good result at Doncaster in their division 2EC match, and the young athletes were in action at Rotherham.

The team made a great start to the season on home soil at Don Valley Stadium. They finished in 4th place out of 8 of the best teams in Britain.

The pole vaulters were affected by the wet and Sheffield's Luke Cutts was surprisingly beaten into second place, well below his best with only 4.60.
