Two club athletes recently set new PBs to head the mens rankings this year, Matt Lambley (U23) set a new pb in the hammer of 67.61m at Derby on 5th April then followed up with a champioship best performance of 67.42m at the Yorkshire Championships. Lee Emanuel lowered his pb in the 1500 metres to 3.37.25 at Stanford University on 2nd may to also head the British rankings for 1500m
Also, Tesni Ward won the Outstanding Athlete of 2009 for setting a new champioship best performance of 40.73m in the discus
