| Young Athletes League 2010 - Changes and Fixtures |

There have been a few changes made to the league and match structure for 2010. Details of next seasons fixtures are also available.
Premier Division teams have been increased to 18 in total and have been split into 2 divisions of 9 teams, Premier East and Premier West, the division being determined by the geographical location of the teams. Our club being in the Premier East Division along with
Chesterfield
City of York
East Cheshire
Rotherham
Gateshead
Leeds city
Doncaster
Wakefield
Each match will consist of 3 teams. Two matches of 3 teams will be at 1 venue giving 6 teams in attendance. So for our first match at Woodburn Road, our match plus one from Division 1 South East will be hosted.
In all matches points are to be awarded on the first across the line principle. ie 1st = 6 points, 2nd = 5, 3rd = 4, 4th = 3, 5th = 2, 6th = 1.
The top 4 teams in the from each of the Premier teams in the area would be invited to compete in the area final which would use a full timetable of events. Young Athletes League medals would be available for athletes placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in each event. This match would also determine the top teams in the area and which teams could be invited to any National Finals.
