Congratulations to four of our club young athletes who have been chosen to compete in the 2012 Sainsbury's UK School Games from 6th - 9th May at the Olympic Stadium in London

Northern Indoor Championships 2012
The club improved on the 18 medals won last year, increasing that number to 23. Adam Khan won the U20 mens triple jump with a new championship best of 14.50m. He added to that a 3rd place in the long jump and 1st in the 60m hurdles (although he was the only competitor). Jessica Ennis was in action in the shot putt beginning her preparations for London 2012.
Kristie Edwards won both the U17 girls 60m and 200m, while Joe Andreson won the U17 mens shot putt beating his own club record by 1.26m, throwing 13.49m.

South Yorkshire Indoor League - Match 1
It was the first match of the 4 match series on Sunday at EIS Sheffield and our athletes achieved fifteen 1st, 2nd or 3rd places in 12 events. The most successful athlete was Ethan Medcraft who was first in the U11 boys 150m and second in the 60m and 600m.

Record-breaking Liam strikes gold
Liam Ramsay is following in the footsteps of some of Britain’s top athletes – and beating their records along the way – after winning the prestigious English Schools Senior Boys’ Decathlon title.
Liam won the gold medal in Exeter last month, breaking the championship record in the process.
