City of Sheffield U17 Men took the team gold medal at the highly competitive Yorkshire County XC Championships at Winterhill 10 January 2009 and 4 City of Sheffield athletes qualified to represent Yorkshire at the Inter County Championships on 7 March 2009.
Congratulations go to U17s James Gray [4th], Adam Newton [8th] and Daniel Jepson [15th] for their team medal winning performance, and to Eve Pound [6th U13 Girl] and Howard Wood [6th Junior Man] who will along with James and Adam will compete for Yorkshire at the Inter County Championships.
Over 500 athletes took part in this event - very well done to everyone who ran in the very icy and cold conditions!
