Yet another lucky escape on the day from an awful weather forecast saw the depleted junior entry from CoSh rise to the occasion at this challenging event, competing against athletes from the all over the north of England.
Preceding rain had left the track like a hippopotamus wallow on the flat and downhill sections, with standing water in places. It was not a course for the faint hearted.
3 juniors from CoSh were fit to compete on the day and gave very determined performances in this highly competitive field. Eve Pound finished 13th in the U13 Girls, and in the U17 Men, Adam Newton finished 29th with Daniel Jepson coming a very creditable 60th out of starting fields of around 160.
Well done to all of you who took part, and commiserations to those of you who couldn't run due to injury and the winter bugs still doing the rounds. Hopefully you'll all be there next year!
