Congratulations to the teams that turned out in glorious weather in Graves Park, Sheffield
on Sunday 1 October. We had a record number of 14 teams across the various age groups
and we took 8 medals in total - yet another record. Read the match report from
Isabelle Pound...
We took 8 medals in total - yet another record - 3 South Yorkshire Golds, 3 South Yorkshire Silvers, 1 South Yorkshire Bronze and the highlight of the day saw our U17 Women's team, Beth Ansell, Laura Goodwin (returning to fine cross-country form and seeing the light after a year's absence,) and Eve Pound take Bronze in the North of England Relay competition. Well done girls!!
Our U11 and U13 age category teams saw a lot of new club members running competitively for the first time. We know it is a nerve wracking experience and hope that you all enjoyed yourselves.
I'd like to say a very, very big thank you to Julia Beedle for seamlessly sorting out all of our youngest athletes whilst I was having a nervous breakdown following the failure of the electronic athlete declaration system.
Although the event was chip-timed, there were some errors with the results, some of which have been corrected, some of which still need to be corrected.

. Many thanks and hope to see as many of you as possible at the first South Yorkshire League match on the 23rd of October. Also remember I'm still selling numbers for this league and taking entries from athletes aged 11 or over for the Mansfield ECCA National Relays.
Kind regards,
