City of Sheffield Juniors had a good turn-out on the day for this local warm up event, going home with some medals and achieving some excellent team and individual performances. The Senior Men's team who competed later in the day finished 4th overall. |

Yorkshire Combined Events Championship 2009 |
Adam Khan finished first in the U15 boys pentathlon, amassing a points total of 2675 and setting a new club record for pentathlon and long jump.Cormack Lever finished 7th, although he is an U13.
Amy Hodgson was third in the U15 girls pentathlon with 2374 points and setting several PBs in the process, while Carys Hall was 2nd in the U17 womens pentathlon with 3810 points.
In the U17 men's Octathlon Luke South was second (4178) and Ryan Crawley fourth (3389).
The club had 4 athletes un the Senior & Junior men's decathlon.Tom Grantham was second (5659),David Budd was fourth(5320), Chris Wright sixth(5280) and Steven Garrett seventh(5186). |

ROTHER VALLEY COUNTRY PARK, WALES, NEAR SHEFFIELD (just off M1 exits 30 or 31)
A challenging and scenic run within the park, taking in the trails through the woods, nature reserve and around the lakes. A real fitness tester.

On the 18th of July a number of Sheffield Athletes went out to San Sebastian to compete in against a number Spanish and French Clubs. Overall with a small team the club finished 3rd overall. This experience will hopefully be open athletes again next year and is a great experience to compete in fantastic conditions. |
