We were finally blessed with some reasonable weather for the fourth and final SYCAA XC league and championship, and despite being down on numbers due to illnesses, at the prize presentation the club carried off a serious number of medals and trophies. |

A few people decided to give this match a miss, but City of Sheffield still managed a good turnout and some fine results on a mainly sunny but blustery day at Cantley Park. The course was flat, but relentless and it seemed very long...... I believe the U13 boys went an amount further than the published distance. |

To say that the morning of Sunday 8th November was wet is an understatement. It started raining at 10:00, and finished at 13:30, by which time then Senior Men were finishing and the club tents were standing in 6 inches of water and a soup of mud. The ground was slippy underfoot and several athletes took nasty falls. But what a fantastic turnout and what fantastic results from the City of Sheffield athletes. |
