It was a good weekeend of 14/15 May for our athletes at the
2011 Yorkshire Championships. Overall our athletes won 54
medals, which is an improvement on the 42 won last year. This
despite the absence of several athletes who won medals last
year, including Jessica Ennis.
Liam Ramsay (U20 men) won gold in the high jump and 110m
hurdles, as well as medals in the pole vault, javelin and
shot putt. Liam has been put forward for sponsorship by For
Goodness Shakes. Funding for Liam is dependent on the number
of votes that he gets through the sponsor web site. Please
take the time to vote for Liam at

Other notable performances came from Daniel Gardiner (senior
men) who won medals for long jump, javelin shot putt and 100m hurdles, and Ricky Reeves who clocked 10.75 seconds in winning the senior men's 100m, albeit wind assisted.
