Club Athletes Excel at Norwich Union AAA Champs Print E-mail

Our athletes produced some sterling performances to take two golds, one silver and one bronze at the Norwich Union AAA Championships on 4 & 5 March.

Our race walking ladies did very well in winning gold and Bronze medals. Rebecca Mersh retained her title in the U20 3K in a time of 14:40.94 and Kathryn Granger (an U17)won bronze in 16:06.72.

In the U20 mens shot Jamie Williamson won with a put of 17.05 metres, 82 cm ahead of second place.

Gerald Phiri won silver in the U20 mens 60m in a time of 6.77 seconds, one tenth of a second behind winner Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

Very well done also to our other athletes for qualifying for these champoinships.
