Jessica Ennis broke the UK under-23 pentathlon record by recording a score of 4,401 points at an indoor meeting in Eaubonne, France.

The 20-year-old set a personal best in the 60m hurdles and set a UK all time U23 indoor pentathlon record moving to third on the senior all-time UK list for the pentathlon, behind Kelly Sotherton and Julie Hollman.

Jessica, who will team up with Sotherton and Hollman at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne next month, improved her personal best by 312 points.

Amy Hill (U20) also took part in this 3-country match where the UK won the multievent match agains France and Spain in both U23 and U20 age groups for men and women.

Jessica Ennis Individual performances:

60 m. hurdles: 8.29 s. (PB)

High jump: 1.87 m.

Shot put: 11.82 m.

Long jump: 5.85 m.

800 m.: 2:20.45 min. (PB)

Amy Hill (U20) scored in total a personal best of 3479 points and finished 8th in her age group.

Individual performances:

60 m. hurdles: 9.15 s. (PB)

High jump: 1.54 m.

Shot put: 11.63 m.

Long jump: 4.88 m.

800 m.: 2:23.97 min. (PB)
