There were several of our young athletes in action in the English Schools Track and Field Championships in Gateshead last weekend.
 

In the finals of the Junior age group Chris Price was 4th in the pole vault with a height of 3.15m. Abigail Bishell was also 4th, in the 100m in 12.48 seconds. Kelly Clark was 8th in the 75m hurdles, Lucy Hodgson was 18th in the high jump and Chris Grayson was 7th in the 800m.

The Inter age group finals saw Tesni Ward come 2nd in the shot putt with a throw of 11.86m and Hannah Brightmore finish 15th in the triple jump with a distance of 10.46m.

Our only athlete in the Senior age group was Luke Peters who finished in 3rd place with a PB throw of 61.38m.

The South Yorkshire team were the winners of the B counties Junior Girls section winning "The Forrester Trophy". Also the South Yorkshire Team as a whole came 3rd overall in the B Counties section.
