The Northern League team were second yesterday behind Chesterfield at Cleethorpes on Sunday.
We had some excellent performances with doubles in the mens 100, 200m, 800m, 5000m, PV, shot, and womens javelin, but special mention must go to the men’s pole vault where Luke Cutts set a new league record of 5m 30cm surpassing the previous best of 5.15 set by Dean Mellor of Rotherham in 1995. Luke outlined his undoubted talent by not just setting the new record in the pole vault but also winning the A string long jump in 6m 90cm, winning B string 100m in 11.8 and finishing second behind BAL team mate Ben Moubrey from Chesterfield in the high jump with 1m 90cm.
In total we had 22 individual wins from 36 events.
We are joint top of the league with Chesterfield on 15 points
Well done to everyone |
