It was the Championships over the weekend and several of our athletes were in action.

Our 2 winners were Luke Cutts, who competes for our BAL team, who won the U20 pole vault with 5.30m, and Rebecca Mersh who won the 3000m walk in 17:33.43 followed in third place by Kathryn Grainger in 28:50.79.

In the throwing events Tesni Ward won bronze in the U20 womens Javelin with a throw of 41.34m. She was also 5th in the shot putt and 7th in the discus. This follows Tesni's success in the Welsh Athletics Championships on 15 June in Swansea. Competing in the senior women's events she won gold in the shot putt (12.40m), silver in the discus (37.68m) and silver in the javelin (41.99m).

In the U20 mens javelin, Luke Peters was 6th with 59.38m.
