Young Athletes League Match 3 |

|
The Young Athletes league team took on Gateshead, Leeds and York on Sunday 1 June at a very rainy Gateshead International Stadium.
In miserable conditions, and in the absence of many of our U17 athletes, the team finished a creditable third.
It is noticable how depleted the team is at U17 level compared to other teams, however we know that we have a full U15 team ready to move through to U17 in the next year or so. The team certainly looks on track to achieve its aim of staying in the Premier Division this season, currently laying in 7th place in the division.
Thanks to all the athletes who tried so hard in such poor conditions. Thanks also to all those who officiated at the match and got drenched, but we still need more volunteers to officiate at matches if we are to score maximum points.
