Our Young Athletes League team was in action on Sunday and chalked up their first win in the Northern Premier League in their second match.
The victory was by a slim 3 points over second placed Wirral, and only 25 points separated all four teams. This is a great step forward in our main aim to stay in this division and is a credit to all our athletes and officials. It also shows why we need athletes to have a go at events which they don't normally do in order to get the team as many points as possible. The athletes who competed for our club and came last in their event pool scored 22 points between them. Without these points the team would have finished in 3rd place. The team is now lying in 6th place out of 16 teams in the league, well done everyone.
Thanks to all those who helped out on Sunday and especially to Rob and Andrea who organised the match.
