Well done to all our athletes taking part in the Sheffield Half Marathon. Our first 3 athlets home were Tom Foulstone who was 44th overall in 1.19.59, Katie Ford who was the 20th lady to finish in 1.34.41, and Stephen Bonnett who finished in 1.38.07.

Our new National junior League team (U17-U23) were a very creditable 4th in their very first match against teams with a lot more athletes.The team managed a good amount of 2nd and 3rd places and most first places were in field events. Tesni Ward won the womens discus, javelin and shot putt and was given the female athlete of the match award for a throw of 42.65m in the javelin. Anna Parkinson won the high jump and Hannah Brightmore the triple jump.
In the mens events Luke Peters won the javelin with a throw of 57.87m.

In the first match in the South Yorkshire Track & Field League we had a good turn out of athletes despite a number of athletes being absent in preparation for the National Junior League. However we had no senior or veteran competitors.

Notable performances were a win in the U11 boys long jump for Joe Hobson (3.76m) and a win in the U13 boys long jump for Joe Anderson (4.97m). In her first ever 800m race Eve Pound came second in the U13 girls race in 2 mins 33.9. In the U13 boys 100m all of the first 5 placed athletes were from our club! Other winners were
