South Yorks Cross Country League Match 2 Print E-mail

It was the second match in the South Yorkshire Cross Country League at the Penistone Showground on Sunday. Two of our athletes finished first in their races.

There was a 1-2 in the U17 mens race with Alex Walker winning in 21.32 mins and Adam Newton finishing second in 22.05 mins.

James Gray made it two wins in two races as he won the U15 boys race in 13.33 mins, a full minute ahead of the second placed athlete.

In the U13 boys race Reece White finished in 4th place in 14.31 with Adam Khan 15 seconds behind in 5th and Oliver Byne in 7th.

Beth Ansell was our lead athlete home in 5th place in the U13 girls race in a time of 13.29 minutes. Alison Stoney was 19th in 15.08, Paige Massey 22nd in 15.31 and Hayley Simpson 23rd in 15.33.

In the U11 girls race Niamh Hardy in her second ever race finished in 22nd place in 7.59 minutes, an improvement of 7 places and 27 seconds from her first race at Norfolk Park.
