Results from Round 3, Campsall, 23 November and IMPORTANT information for the Championships on 14 December

The latest Junior Cross Country update from Isabelle Pound.

The club had another good turnout for this event, despite weather which would have put less determined athletes off completely. The course was a 'try out' of the one to be used for the Yorkshire County Championships on 10 January, and was a tough and demanding route through some muddy and mainly uphill terrain. Our congratulations go to Steve Evison for winning the Senior Men's race, and to Paul Green for taking third.

In the first match of the series at EIS Sheffield on 8 November our U11, U13 and U15 athletes excelled themselves in winning a total of 30 medals.

Well done to all of our young athletes who took part and put in such great efforts.

Our medal winners were:

Millie Skinner came first in the U11 weight for distance throw and also in the soft javelin throw.
Cormack Lever was first in the U13 standing long jump and 3rd in the standing triple jump.
Daniel Bell was first in the U11 standing long jump and Sam Filleul was second in the U11 weight for distance throw.
